Motive Weekly Roundup

Robert’s Friday Roundup – October 15, 2021

Hello Everyone!

Friday Roundup – October 15, 2021

This week was filled with communications challenges – from typos in emails to miscommunication on details for events.  Every aspect of my life was affected – some say it is Mercury in retrograde while others will chalk it up to a bunch of random computer problems.  No matter how you see it, this week was challenging and required a great deal of patience.

Pallas Pens – Squeaky Innovation

On Monday, we facilitated our first Innovation Workshop with a large hospital and university.  It was the first time I’ve been able to bring my Pallas Pens to a workshop and use them “for real”.  If you recall, the main reason we invented the Pallas Pen was to have a whiteboard writing toolset that traveled easily and was ready when we needed them.

The case and pens performed wonderfully.  After several hours of writing without problems, it dawned on me that the pens were making a “squeaky” noise as I wrote.   When I let up on the writing pressure, the squeaking stopped.  After a few tries, I determined that I was the problem – not the pen.  Apparently, I apply a lot of pressure on the pen which would account for the smashed tips of Expos pens!

Learning something new every day!

Money Mastery Course

We are in the last week of the course and Jeff and I could not be prouder of the team.  Everyone is pushing through their barriers, discovering how to overcome their fears, and elevate their worthiness to attain the next level of success.

The key to wealth attainment is to create an internal sense of self-worth that believes in receiving and growing wealth.  Developing a higher self-worth money consciousness is critical to stepping into bigger opportunities.  The team has done an amazing job and we look forward to many more breakthroughs!

How to get out of a bad situation

This week’s post is about getting out of bad situations.  I only posted one video this week (mostly due to time commitments) but I wanted it to be meaningful and impactful.

Sleep, Meditation, and Health – Goal Weight
Reached my goal weight of 197 lbs (lost 14)!  After eight weeks of eating 1800 calories per day, every day while supporting an intermittent fasting cycle.  Here’s my typical daily routine:

  • Wake at 5 am – Drink 24 oz of water with vitamin supplements
  • Meditate for 20 minutes
  • 6 am – Gym and drink 32 oz of water while working out
  • 7:15 am – Latte with 8 oz of skim milk
  • Work
  • 11:30 am – Lunch of approx 600 calories.  I eat whatever I want but tend to focus on clean foods (greens, chicken, fruits). 16 oz water
  • Work – 16 oz water
  • 3:00 pm – Snack.  Lately has been dried dates.  5 dates = 120 calories.  Really good!
  • Work – 16 oz water (at least I try)
  • 6:00 pm – Dinner.  Wide-open.  I have 1100 or so calories to work with.  Typically select vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, beans, and some sort of starch-like paste.  No matter what, I select something that satisfies my starch desire.  I do not deny myself as long as I stay within the calories.
  • 9:30 pm – Bed

Sayings I Heard This Week
“Stop being an ass.” – Unknown
“There is a vicious internal monolog in my head.  Meditation helps turn down the volume.” – Madison
“I am acceptable.” –  RB Christiansen
