Motive For Life Level Up Workbook – Robert’s Friday Roundup for November 26, 2021

Hello Everyone! – November 26, 2021

Motive For Life Workbook

After last week’s accident, I was able to find my footing again and move forward on the next project – the Motive For Life 90-Day Level Up workbook.  The idea came from a good friend (Paul Angles) while we were discussing goals for 2022.  “Workbooks are an excellent way for people to put your work into action,” Paul exclaimed.  “Plus they are easy to publish.”

Paul was right.  I already have the materials – all I need to do is organize them into a workbook and arrange for printing through KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing).

So this week I’ve spent my early morning framing up the 90-Day program, using techniques from my coaching practice, courses, and MasterMinds.  We’ve been developing, testing, and publishing these exercises for over 7 years with an overwhelming amount of evidence to support their effectiveness.

Look for the Motive For Life Level Up workbook (working title) the second week of January 2022!

The Motive For Life PodcastHow to Rewire Your Brain with Bob Doyle – The Motive For Life Podcast here

Bob Doyle is an Executive Coach and the  CEO of Boundless Living. Over the past 20 years, Bob has been helping people work with the Law of Attraction and transform their lives. He is best known for his role as a Law of Attraction expert and coach in the movie, The Secret. Since 1998, Bob has taught the principles of personal transformation through programs, live events, podcasts, coaching, and writing. Though still grounded in the Law of Attraction, Bob’s focus has shifted from the metaphysical aspects to the brain’s role in the process of reality creation.

Bob joins the Motive For Life podcast to explain the relationship between the brain’s neuroplasticity and manifestation. He describes why it’s difficult for many people to transform their lives and discusses why the Law of Attraction doesn’t work for many people. He also shares the steps you can take toward changing your brain’s wiring and underscores the importance of being non-negotiable about the kind of person you want to become.

This week on The Model FA Podcast:

  • Why Bob shifted his focus away from the Law of Attraction to the brain’s power to create reality
  • How meaning drives us into action
  • Why rewire your brain and what makes personal transformation happen
  • What makes personal transformation difficult and why people fail at the Law of Attraction
  • What it means to manifest on autopilot
  • Why Bob thinks it’s a waste of time to convince people about the Law of Attraction
  • The first steps toward rewiring the brain and the power of visualizing your day

How I Get Over A Mistake – Robert’s Friday Roundup for November 19, 2021

Hello Everyone!

November 19, 2021

How I Get Over A Mistake

This week I hit a curb while driving from 134 Freeway to the 2 Freeway in Los Angeles.  No injuries except for my bruised ego.

When you live in a world where nothing happens by mistake, you must look at every situation – good or bad – ask yourself, “why did this happen?”  What is the underlying cause of this event?

I believe my unconscious intentions manifest daily in life.  Negative voices and emotions produce adverse outcomes, and the same is true for positive voices and feelings.  The road I travel today was paved by the language, images, and emotions from yesterday.  Therefore, if I accept this as accurate, then every experience results from my prior thinking.

Hard stuff to truly accept when bad shit happens.  We readily take credit when good stuff lands in our lap.  However, getting responsibility for everything – good and bad – is a whole other level of ownership.

Back to the accident – I ran over a curb doing 65 mph!  What the hell was I thinking?  In truth, I wasn’t thinking; I reacted to a signal from my navigation system and ran over what I thought were white lines that separated the offramp from the main freeway lanes.  It turned out the white lines were a curb.

The result – $200 for a new tire, a $440 tow from LA to Costa Mesa, a $210 mechanic fee (friend deal), wasted 4-5 hours of a Sunday, car in the shop for two days, and seriously questioning my decision-making abilities.  Owning this situation (which could have been much worse) comes the acceptance of the issue and how I get over it.

Getting over a mistake is rooted in taking ownership of the outcome—humble acceptance of the situation and remedying the problem.  When I step into the solution, own it, and work on repairs, I feel better, learn the lessons, and feel better about myself.

Ownership is the key to getting through mistakes.

How To Stay Married 30 Years – Robert’s Friday Roundup for November 12, 2021

Hello Everyone!

November 12, 2021

How We Stayed Married 30 Years

On November 2, my wife and I celebrated 30 years married.  We traveled to Mammoth Lakes, CA for a four day, three night get away to chill out and take in the great mountain air and scenery.

While on the trip I asked myself, ‘what did it take to stay happily married for three decades?’  Here’s what came to me…

  • Respect – As long as there is respect, the marriage has a foundation to build upon.  Without respect, no amount of love or passion will enable the relationship to survive.  Times get hard, people change, and life events put a strain on the relationship.  Respect is the foundation that enabled us to build and grow forward.
  • Three Entities – There are three entities in our marriage – my wife, myself, and the marriage itself.  From the beginning, my wife and I needed our own space.  I traveled for business which gave me my space, and while I was gone, she was able to create her space, and when we were together, we looked after the marriage.  The 3 Entities concept works for us.
  • Boundaries – I am not the same man I was when we married and neither is my wife.  Our children have grown and moved out, finances are not a struggle as they were in the beginning, and we have different views on the world than we did 30 years ago.  With these changing points of view come adjustments and acceptance.  With respect to the foundation, allowing my partner the space to express her views (without judgment) is critical.
  • Honesty and Courage – Speaking our truth, no matter how painful the other may find it, is critical to longevity.  This relates to the prior virtues of respect and boundaries.  When I speak my truth with kindness, I am transparent and my partner does not try to guess what I really mean.  This is hard from time to time.  Truth can be painful but without it, the relationship dissolves.

Hope these help you in your quest for long-term partnerships!

Spending Money on a Trainer
This week I met with my trainer.  Each week he presses me to do more – more flexibility, more weight, and different exercises.  I also go through a mental battle with the money I am spending – it is not cheap.Good coaches are never cheap, however, they are worth it!

Since I’ve started with my training 15 weeks ago, I have…

  • Lost 17 pounds
  • Gone from 26% body fat to 20%
  • Reduced my joint stiffness and increased my flexibility
  • Significantly lifted my energy level
  • Consistently get 7 – 8 hours sleep a night

What price would you pay for these life benefits?  These are foundational and support the quality of my life in multiple areas including business and relationships.  More specifically, my confidence is at an all-time high as a result of having accomplished these goals.

Self-worth is so critical to every aspect of my lift.  Higher self-worth enabled me to spend money on the thing that is core to my personal well-being:  my health.

Pallas Pens – Hired a Social Marketer

We hired a social marketing team to build the Palls brand and launch the product.  Devon and I both realize that we are not social media experts so we engaged a firm to take our brand and build the community.  More on that as we continue to develop our go to market.
